POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS
We encourage every woman interested in taking the next step in her Appalachian State career to participate in formal sorority recruitment. During formal recruitment, participants will get the chance to visit all 9 chapters within our Panhellenic community to catch a glimpse into each sisterhood and have the potential opportunity to receive a bid from a chapter. The relationships made and the experiences had during recruitment truly have a lasting impact on the women and their experience at App State. For more information and to register for formal recruitment, please visit Appalachian State University's Panhellenic official website:

I'm Claire Jones and I am honored to serve as the Vice President of Recruitment for Alpha Delta Pi. As someone who traveled through state lines for college, I was seeking a sense of belonging as I embarked on my recruitment journey. I was in search of a place I could truly call home. For the past two years, ADPi has graciously provided me with that sense of belonging.
When the opportunity arose for elections, I knew I wanted to contribute to something greater than myself. For me, that meant running for recruitment, so that women going through the recruitment process have the same chance and experiences I had within the Alpha Delta Pi recruitment room.
To prospective new members navigating the recruitment process, I offer one essential piece of advice: embrace your authenticity unreservedly. While Recruitment may seem like a time to present your very best self and always lead with your strongest foot, it's also an opportunity to forge meaningful connections with individuals who will leave a lasting impact on your life for years to come. Ultimately, ADPi simply asks that you be unapologetically yourself. Embrace who you are, cherish the connections you make, and allow yourself to thrive by being your authentic self. With all the best wishes in the world,
Loyally,

STILL DON'T KNOW IF FORMAL RECRUITMENT IS FOR YOU?
Here's some advice from our sisters:

WHAT WILL BEING IN A SORORITY DO FOR ME?
"Before joining a sorority at App State, I didn't know if it was the right place for me. After becoming a member of Alpha Delta Pi it gave me a place to call home. Not physically, but in a way where you can ask any sister for help and they will be there for you always. This sorority brings you a family of women who are strong, independent, outgoing, and truly living for each other. Becoming a part of this organization will do different things for everyone, but one factor that always stays consistent is that it is more than just a sisterhood, it is a family."

WHAT SHOULD I TALK ABOUT DURING RECRUITMENT?
During recruitment, talk about your passions and the topics that make you who you are. Whether it’s the clubs you joined in high school, your favorite friendships, or the personal stories that have shaped you, this is your chance to share it all. When I shared my mental health journey, I was embraced with open arms. Don’t try to impress people or be someone you’re not. Be unapologetically yourself and be proud of it. Let your light shine through, and talk about the things that bring you joy.

FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY
All sororities come with costs for their memberships. Alpha Delta Pi - Zeta Mu chapter has dues for all members which are paid through Omegafi. Dues are a set amount per member per semester and are split up into four equal installments during both the first and second semester. The payment due dates will be made clear at the start of each year. A badge fee, initiation fee, housing fee, and alpha fee are added the very first semester you join Alpha Delta Pi. Semesters following your first are only required to pay a national membership fee once a year and that year's set dues. Any other things purchased for Alpha Delta Pi (such as t-shirts and other merchandise) must be paid for externally. Members experiencing difficulties with payments are to request a meeting with the Vice President of Finance and the Financial Advisor to discuss a plan of action that works best for them.
